XIII gravuras; 62 cm.- E., Única edição do célebre “livro
de festas” que celebra o casamento entre a princesa de França,
Marie-Louise-Elisabeth (1727-1759), com o Infante Filipe de
Bourbon (1720-1765), segundo filho de Filipe V de Espanha.
As festividades decorreram nos dias 29 e 30 de Agosto de 1739,
em Paris e numa ilha artificial mandada construir para o efeito
no rio Sena, em frente ao Louvre, entre o “Pont-Neuf” e o “Pont
Royal”.
As ilustrações, gravadas a talhe-doce, incluem duas vinhetas:
uma na página de rosto, com as armas de Paris (185x175 mm.),
de Bouchardon e outra no início do texto (160x315 mm.),
de Rigaud; e 13 gravuras, das quais 8 de dupla folha,
abertas por Blondel, segundo originais de Bonel, Gabriel,
Sallet e Servandoni que foi igualmente o autor do projecto
da ilha.
Exemplar limpo, revestido de encadernação da época, inteira
de carneira brunida, um pouco cansada, apresentando ao centro
de ambos os planos, o super-libros gravado a ouro,
com as armas da cidade de Paris. Conserva as guardas originais

Only one edition of the celebrated “book parties” celebrating
the marriage of Marie-Louise-Elisabeth, princess of France
(1727-1759), with Philip of Bourbon (1720-1765), second son
of Philip V of Spain. The festivities took place on days 29
and August 30, 1739 in Paris and on an artificial island built
for the effect on the river Seine, opposite the Louvre, between
the Pont Neuf and the Pont Royal “. The illustrations, intaglio
engraved (en taille-douce), include two stickers: one on the
front page, with the coat of arms of Paris (185x175 mm),
of Bouchardon and another at the beginning of the text
(160x315 mm), Rigaud; and 13 prints, of which 8 double leaf,
opened by Blondel, according to documents of Bonel, Gabriel,
Sallet and Servandoni who was also the author of the project
of the island. Clean copy, entire starched calf binding
of the time, slightly fatigued, showing at the centre of both
plans, the gold engraved super-libros with the coat of arms
of the city of Paris. Preserves the original guards in marbled
